Masterclass at APB Cook Studio with Rushina Munshaw-Ghildiyal and chef Anees Khan was like a lesson on creativity. Together they had created a menu of tempting eggless cupcakes inspired by Indian mithai, well styled plating of Indian desserts and the most awesome Mithai jar.
I have had attended a bread baking class with chef Anees khan earlier BREAD BASICS . He has always been an inspiration; he will never fall short of ideas to share when it comes to food.
Rushina on the other hand is fantastic with her sense of flavors and creating masterpieces with foods. Just imagine two amazing minds creating amazing fusions with food and food styling.
I loved the ideas of creating interesting fusion of Indian mithai flavors into cupcakes. The Modak cupcake and the Gajar ka halwa cupcake. The idea was to add the mithai in the cupcakes rather than only flavoring them with artificial stuff. I was so happy to see the use of natural food coloring in the making. (sprig food colors). SPRIG is a brand that scours the world to get the finest gourmet ingredients into kitchen. And these natural food colors are one of the products they have launched.
As a mother, when I see kids consuming artificial or synthetic food colors in food, I do get worried. All inspired with natural food coloring I created these colorful treats for my kids.
