Candied orange slices are a perfect way to fancy up a cake. You’d be surprised at how easy it is to make these tasty fruity candies at home. You only need three ingredients and patience. You will have a jar full of gorgeous looking, incredibly yum candied orange slices in the end.
You can substitute orange with other seasonal citrus fruit slices like blood orange, limes, lemons, grapefruits. If the fruit you are choosing is more tart, increase the amount of sugar to balance out the acidity.
This style of making candied orange is different and will not result in the extreme sugary end result.
I have used tangerines to make these. Make sure to pack them in an airtight container once they dry out completely.
