Chocolate Orange Fudge is a very addictive indulgence. Super delicious and super smooth fudge is a win win recipe. This one is a simple fuss free making where you will just have to combine the ingredients and set them to shape. Use pretty looking wraps to pack each piece individually,or pop these into the ready to use paper cups and arrange in a beautiful looking box to gift.

Adding fruits, nuts or candies to the fudge adds a lot of  depth to the flavor as well as the texture. Oranges are in season and I could not stop myself and so made Candied Orange peels at home. Share with me if you have any other idea to turn the regular fudge recipe into A special recipe.

You can buy the candied orange peels from the market or make it home. Recipe is quite simple.

1.  Wash the orange.

2. Use a zester to peel the thin long ribbons from the orange. Make sure you don’t peel the white inner along because its the bitter part.

3. Put them into boiling water for at least 3 minutes to get rid of the residual bitterness.

4. In another pan, Boil water and sugar together. Use same amount of sugar and water.

5. When the sugar is dissolved add the orange zest and cook for sometime till sugar syrup is  reduced or until zest is tender and looks a little translucent.

6. In another tray add some fine granulated sugar and put in the cooked and drained Orange zest.

7. Roll the peel pieces, a few at a time, in sugar. Let it dry on wire rack several hours. Store in airtight container.
