Sunday morning is a quite an easy, lazy morning .

I wanted to sleep and was not willing to come out of the bed ,

but this baking fever is not letting me rest ,

Every morning I have something in mind ,

that I really want to make and put it in the oven .

So today I started with — Pound cake with zebra strips .

I took this simple recipe of pound cake and tried giving it a pretty face .

I know that I am not very neat and professional but still , its came out quite

Impressive. One thing I like about this cake is,  it looks much more complicated

then it is , It has a moist texture , and a chocolaty undertone .

Recipe

Ingredients :-

1. 3 large eggs ( room temperature)

2. 3/4 cup of milk

3. 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract

4. 1 1/2 cup of sifted flour

5. 1 teaspoon of baking powder

6. A pinch of salt

7. 1 cup of sugar

8. 2 tablespoon of coco powder

9. 185 gm of unsalted butter

Method ;-

First , sift together the dry ingredients (flour , baking powder , salt , and sugar )

In another bowl , mix together eggs , vanilla extract , and milk .

(leave 3 tablespoons of milk for the coco powder mixture)

Using a electric mixture slowly add egg mixture and butter to the dry ingredients.

Beat for about 2 minutes , to aerate and develop the cake structure .

Once done; separate half the batter into a clean bowl and

Add the coco powder ,and milk , Blend it well .

Line the bottom of a baking pan with parchment sheet butter the paper and sides of the pan well.

Start with dropping 1/4 cup of vanilla batter into the middle of the pan , it will spread little bit .

measure the same amount of chocolate batter , and pour it in the centre of the vanilla batter

Repeat the process , continuing with 1/4 scoop alternating flavours .

Bake for about 50 -55 minutes at 180* c . Until the toothpick inserted in the centre out clean .

Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool on a cooling rack .

Cut a clean slice and show off 🙂

Enjoy the rich , moist and buttery slice with your family .
