My daughter is 15 years and she has this sudden interest in the kitchen. She wants to cook quick dishes all by herself. She has zero interest in an elaborated spread, mostly it’s just one pan recipe and at times one bowl or one cup recipes. Her interest stays where she and the microwave can get the dish ready in the least amount of time and least use of utensils.

I am not a huge fan of such cooking, doing things from scratch and doing them right is what I always aim for. But she can choose her ways of doing things.
As a parent, I must respect her chosen paths and let her learn by doing. As they say, children are not our extension, they come by us, but they are individuals and has full authority to lead their lives.

All I can do is not push her into leading my style of life but do as she likes. But this wisdom is new in me, I have done my set of mistakes as a parent. Like many of you thinking, choosing, deciding for her. But I guess this is a new, in fact, a better way to live life. Where I keep my umbrella of parental protection bit higher.
This quick easy way of making garlic bread is a recipe for her and for all those who do not like to spend so much time in the kitchen doing thing form scratch.

There are no specifications that I need to mention in the points here. A bit up-down in measuring of the ingredients won’t harm the final outcome of the garlic bread.

More butter and more cheese will only elevate the taste. But just don’t go overboard because you are responsible for your well being.
I have added minced garlic and pizza spice in this recipe. Which is a classic combo. You can add some fresh chives or parsley to the garlic butter mix. It will enhance the flavour even further.

Quick and Easy Garlic Bread

Ingredients
- 8 pieces one bunch of Ladi pav
- 50 gm salted butter
- 9 – 10 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp pizza spice https://amzn.to/37QnPo0
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 5 whole cheese slices (cut into half) https://amzn.to/3mUMaxe
Instructions
- Preheat the oven https://amzn.to/2WP1oJI at 180*C and line a baking tray with parchment paper. https://amzn.to/2KwYs21
- Mince the garlic cloves. https://amzn.to/37SxISf In a bowl add the butter (make sure the butter is at room temperature) and the minced garlic. Whisk them together and add the pizza spice and salt to the butter.
- Make slits https://amzn.to/3rxpfM3 in the Ladi pav using shape knife going 3/4th of the way as you cut into the pav. Rub the prepared garlic butter in between the slits.
- Add cheese slices inside the slits where you have applied butter. Bake for 10 minutes at 180* C and enjoy hot garlic bread at home.
