Spinach Corn Twisters


Being a mother ; there is a constant thought in the mind about evening snack ,

which should be satisfying , healthy and at the same time should not be too heavy .

I always look for elegance , taste and nutrition in the food I serve my children .

These twisters  will undeniably satisfy evening hunger ; they have the perfect size and

perfect style too.

There are two components -1. Super easy pizza dough  2. Spinach corn stuffing

Recipe –

Ingredients for dough –

1. 300 gm of bread flour

2. 3 tsp of semolina

3. 1/2 tsp of salt

4. 5 gm of dry yeast

5. 2 tsp of sugar

6. 2 tsp of olive oil

7. 1/2 a cup of warm water

8. flex seeds of sprinkling

Method –

In a container mix yeast , sugar and olive oil with warm water , cover it and leave it for few minutes .

Meanwhile , in a big bowl sieve semolina , flour and salt . Then pour the yeast water into the flour .

Knead the dough together , until you have smooth , springy dough . Place the dough in a large bowl

Cover it and leave it to rise in a warm place for an hour or until the dough is double in size .

Ingredients for Spinach stuffing –

1. One bunch of fresh spinach

2. One onion ( big )

3. 2 to 3 cloves of garlic

4. 2 to 3 tsp of milk

5. 100 gm of fresh paneer

6. 100 gm cheese grated

7. 1/2 cup of boiled corn

8. Salt to taste

9. Oil to saute

Method –

In a non – stick pan put a little oil, when hot ;  add in finally chopped onion and and garlic , saute till

soft;don’t brown . Then add chopped spinach leaves . Cook for some time , add boiled corn .

Once done add grated paneer and milk to soften , Cook for some time .

Turn the heat off and add grated cheese and salt .

 Now  put the dough on a  floured surface and roll it into a neat ball.

Flatten the ball and with a rolling pin , roll the dough out into a rectangle shape.

with the thickness of about 2mm .

Take out the extra dough using a sharp knife and give the rectangle clean edges .

Spread over a thin layer of spinach corn batter . Now with clean hands , using a pizza cutter ,

cut out long strips of about one inch . Then twist each strip gently with a soft hand .

Put all the spinach filled twisters on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper .

Brush them with milk and sprinkle some flex seeds on the top .

Bake for about 20 minutes at 200* c and  till you get the desired color .
